Cut Down On Your Air Conditioning Bill by Creating Supernatural Cold Spots
Shôn Ellerton, April 1, 2026
Why spend exorbitant amounts of money keeping that A/C on when you can simply create your own cold spots with the aid of the paranormal.
Our energy bills are rising and those who inhabit our more extreme climes that often experience temperatures in excess of forty degrees centigrade for weeks at a time may appreciate an alternative solution to achieve efficient and economical cooling.
Rather than tapping into our conventional baseline energy sources including coal, oil, gas, and nuclear. Or supplementing that baseline energy with renewables like solar, wind and geothermal. We have failed to think out of our sublunary, or otherworldly, box to summon energy from other sources that lie outside our plane of perception and reality.
It would be wrong, and somewhat facetious, to suggest that an alternative source of energy abounds from outside the envelope of the physical world in which we live in. Meaning that, in purely physical terms, the defining moment of evidence when heat transference occurs is when a standard household thermometer registers a different value over a specified interval of time.
However, let’s continue!
We have extensive knowledge on how humans best adapt to ideal conditions in terms of humidity and temperature. Our perception of discomfort is clearly not only associated to abnormally high temperatures but a combination of temperature and humidity. In the world of building engineering, we have researched this phenomenon extensively and, by doing so, have come up with the concept of psychrometric charts to map out ideal comfort zones with one axis representing humidity, the other temperature. Our comfort zone lies within a small elliptical bubble somewhere in the centre of this chart.
Unfortunately, our research into the world of air conditioning has been restrained by the limits of our understanding of fluid mechanics coupled with our various laws of thermodynamics which have locked us up in stalemate into progressing further. The reason being, is that we have not ventured beyond the natural to find an alternative means. Moreover, we have not capitalised on developing or conditioning our human anatomy to cope with uncomfortable combinations of temperature and humidity through methods which extend beyond the sublunary. In other words, we have seldom done any research into creating a solution which makes us feel cooler when we want to be cooler without making any change to the thermometer.
The quick fix for cooling down the human body is through, of course, the science of transpiration. Nature has taught humans the power of cooling through transpiration, for example, in Australia, one can observe kangaroos constantly licking their forearms under the sweltering heat to aid the process. Our evaporative air-conditioning or swamp cooler units use a similar principle. However, it is commonly known that such an approach to cooling is only effective in drier climates.
An entirely new way to solving air conditioning without using any conventional energy can now be revealed by the efforts undertaken by Superlunary Climate Systems (SCS), a thinktank group who specialise in bridging physical processes within our sublunary world with ethereal processes extending across layers of superlunary planes.
We must delve further into the origin of how all this research was undertaken.
The SCS Group was formed in Danbury in Essex sometime back during the early 1950s. It was founded by Sir David Wheatley, who was a prominent and well-respected citizen of the local community. Wheatley was a mechanical engineer specialising in HVAC equipment but secretly harboured an interest in the esoteric and the supernatural.
Now, for those who are familiar with the county of Essex in England may know of the dark and secretive forests that host spirits, most of which are benevolent, haunting these beautiful and seductive forests. However, there have been some reported occasions of more malevolent forces being experienced by some walkers who, by chance, had wandered into this domain during a time in which they are unwanted by the spirits. For example, in Danbury Common, a wooded area of mainly deciduous trees, many of which look ancient and gnarled, a place in which wanderers would suddenly experience dramatic drops in temperature for no specified reason.
Why the sudden temperature drop?
Well, it was not long after when the SCS Group decided to conduct further research into the alleged claim of sudden temperature drops within the forest. The SCS Group had been trying to establish a basis of usurping the fundamental processes of how supernatural cold spots develop with a method creating a system of altering the perception of how one feels in terms of temperature.
It must be made clear that altering the perception of how we feel in terms of temperature will not make any difference to material items which are subjected to the actual physical temperature. Moreover, there are minima and maxima extents as to what physical temperatures the human body can endure. For example, a human body subjected to forty degrees centigrade will still be enduring forty degrees centigrade regardless of how it feels.
Some haunted houses of ill-repute have been well-renowned for having certain ‘cold spots’. These are allegedly, gateways, for spirits to cross into our world and theirs. ‘Hot spots’ may also be encountered, although they are somewhat rarer, albeit, the principle is similar insofar that spirits can traverse from one superlunary world to another or even our own.
Cold spot research became a primary focus for SCS Group, and they began a several-year-long tour of some of the world’s most infamous locations where cold spots have been allegedly experienced. Hundreds of locations, including those of haunted houses, forests, caves, and lakes were researched by the group.
Mary Jameson, one of the lead researchers in the group, was contacted by a local resident who lived near the River Chelmer in Essex. The resident, a woman in her seventies, had lived for many decades in her two-storey Tudor-style house alongside the bank of the river surrounded by a lovely but rather unkempt garden. Mary was directed to three cold spots within the old house. One at the end of upstairs corridor, another halfway down a back staircase, and the other, in the small library on the ground floor.
The group was invited to bring all the apparatus required to conduct the necessary research.
Radio scanners, EMF readers, thermal imaging devices, audio and video recording equipment, and an array of thermometer devices located in strategic locations throughout the house. All the paraphernalia associated with supernatural discovery. The woman who lived there enjoyed the company spoiling the crew with endless cups of teas, sandwiches, and cakes.
Everyone in the group agreed that they felt the three cold spots, some being perceptively colder than others. In fact, the one at the end of the corridor upstairs was uncomfortably cold.
Many questions were put to the test.
Why were some cold spots colder than others?
What was the history of the house?
What was the physical temperature of the cold spot?
Was the cold spot affected by any draft of air that might change the perceived temperature?
Was the cold spot psychosomatically induced?
All these questions were thoroughly investigated.
Professor Higley of the group surmised that interstitial remnants of ley line forces combined with the molecular structure surrounding the cold spot had eviscerated the fabric of space-time thus creating a portal to the superlunary.
The research was undertaken in the middle of summer, and when temperatures are high, it can be quite uncomfortable on account of the humidity especially being near to the river with little or no breeze for respite.
Standing on the cold spots certainly felt much cooler, however, the distribution of the perceived cold was not uniform across the body which made it a not entirely pleasant sensation. It was discovered that this was the cause of the raising of goosebumps, not from the perceived cold as such.
Replicating a cold spot in another location was one of the primary areas of focus by the group and a breakthrough was discovered through a series of experiments involving the use of crystalline quartz structures found in various stone deposits along the many scattered remnants of boulder clay in the north of England. Within the group’s laboratory, the quartz crystals are processed through various bouts of high-energy magnetic force, sometimes in excess of thirty Teslas, which is around five times the amount generated by today’s most powerful MRI scanners. The crystals are then subjected to acoustic wave bombardment ranging from frequencies as high as 100,000 Hz, well beyond the range of human hearing, to as low as 7 Hz, the frequency infamous for causing discomfort at high volume levels, although we can’t actually hear any tone because our ears tend to drop out below 20 Hz or so.
The magic behind the scenes is within the programming of the machine to profile the intermixture of the acoustic and magnetic properties of the crystal to align with the environment in which it is located. The group has been understandably guarded against releasing any more information until a patent is awarded.
In a control space mocked up to be a living room of a typical house or a bedroom, the group embedded these processed crystals into usual items that could be found in one’s house. A banister on the staircase, within a picture frame of a painting, an ornament on top of a corner table, and so on.
Unfortunately, unlike a natural cold spot, these synthetic cold spots require some power, however, only very small amounts are required. About the same power needed to run a wireless router. And in return, they offer a far more uniform sense of perceived coolness in an otherwise hot and uncomfortable environment. All one needs is a device which is very similar to a WiFi transmitter. This transmitter uses electromagnetic spectra within the microwave band, much like WiFi, but the group ensured that the spectra chosen would not interfere with the standard 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies used in today’s WiFi.
The beauty of the device is that it can be incorporated into an app and the perceived coldness can be altered by adjusting the level of energy emitted by the device. Once the crystals are embedded on the premises, they must be calibrated to the space which is easily done with the use of a probe which comes as part of the kit. The probe sends the necessary data back to the emitting device which aligns the signal with the environment. This only needs to be done once unless, of course, the crystals are moved.
Due to the uniformity of the ‘coldness’, rather than being unpleasant, the sensation of being in a nice cool environment can be achieved without the cost of using any conventional air-conditioning equipment.
As this technology is in its pilot stage, there are further studies in progress regarding any long-term effects of using this system. Noting that it is crucial that the actual temperature has not changed, it is prudent that maintaining hydration is important, because the body is still required to perspire. Naturally, any standing objects such as food, for example, will not be affected.
Commercial applications of using such a system, for example, in large shopping malls or office buildings is a long way off. However, for small domestic use, this could be the biggest defining change on how we can save energy and keep cool.
During the next year, SCS Group are working on perceived warmth for cold environments by reversing the polarity of the signals the crystals receive and emit. However, there are technical challenges to be overcome. First, the human body actually needs physical warmth and providing a false sense of warmth could possibly lead to misuse of the equipment, much like overusing a suntanning machine. There was also an unwanted side effect. Not only did it induce warmth but also inculcated the feeling of anger.
Lastly, it must be pointed out that these experiments by the SCS Group have been under scrutiny by various lobbies, ranging from energy providers to medical groups all with different narratives and reasons. Interestingly, the Church of Scientology has taken an avid interest and has made repeated attempts to bully the SCS Group into releasing their secret recipe. I expect that this strange and nefarious cult has designs on using the contraption developed by SCS Group for the purpose of destroying engrams and releasing Thetans. And then, no doubt, they will sell it to gullible celebrities to make a vast amount of money out of it.
All in all, considering that it’s the first day of April, perhaps the prospect of cooling down people’s homes using superlunary means, may be a bridge or portal too far!
